Release Notes: 2.43.1 MyVCM Lite Registration Workflow Updates

Date released to Production: Monday, June 14th, 2021

High-Level Summary:

Limitation of the current MyVCM Lite registration functionality:

The Billing tab in the current registration process makes the users think there is a payment involved and have them hesitated to sign up for a Lite account. Also, if they decide to sign up, they are not taken directly to the assigned assessment. This experience confuses the users and negatively impacts the user adoption.

Goal of this release:

Update the current Lite registration and sign-up workflows

  • Updates during the Lite registration

When the user is registering for a Lite account, he/she won’t see the “Billing” tab and the page during the registration steps. There are 4 tabs to complete the registration process

  • Updates after the Lite registration during first login

  • If the Lite registration is initiated through the assessment, the system would build the one-way connection automatically and there should not be a need to accept the connection by the user.
  • If the user clicks the new Lite instance link or the “Go to sign in” button on the registration confirmation page, the user should see the assessment pop-up as soon as he/she logs on to the new Lite instance. The user won’t be taken to the My Profile dashboard at this time.
  • If the user closes the assessment pop-up to visit any other area on the new Lite platform (e.g. adding new users, etc.), the assessment could be accessible as a pending action.
  • At any other login, the users would be taken to the My Profile dashboard.

  • Updates after the Lite registration on the Billing page

If the Lite account’s site admin goes to the Billing page on the Lite instance, he/she won’t see how the Billing Contact Information and Payment method. Also, add the “Always Free” message below the Plan: MyVCM Lite.

  • Updates to the MyVCM Crosswalk tab

If this is a Lite instance, the user won’t see the “Update Corporate Profile” as a pending action, instead there would be an “Update!” sign next to the MyVCM CrossWalk tab if the Corporate Profile has not been completed yet.

Adding users to the access list of an asset

When a user is adding users to the access list of an asset, the user should be able to add in system roles for that asset, so that they can more accurately match the system roles in another system to the access list in MyVCM.
